Malone was left out in the rain. Abandoned.
He is around 8 years old with a massive as of yet undiagnosed tumor or growth at the base of his tail. He was visibly neglected with multiple pressure sores. By experience we think he was used as a breeder. And due to his age, very likely a friendly guy as he displays a lot of gratitude, friendliness in general, and friendliness in his eyes in any social interaction.
One night some family with a dog in Jersey heard a scratching at their door. They went to the door and found Malone scratching to get in out of the rain. They didn’t bring him in but went outside and immediately felt very bad for him as he was very friendly. They didn’t see any owners around and knew he didn’t belong to their neighbors so they called animal control and waited outside with him. Read more of his story here…
